No Login Required
We never ask for your Instagram username, password, cookies, or account tokens.
Public Data Only
InstantGif solely extracts media from publicly viewable Instagram comment threads.
Ephemeral Processing
Extracted image URLs are delivered directly to your client and not stored permanently.
Website analytics
When enabled, Google Analytics helps us understand page visits, traffic sources, approximate country, device type, active engagement, and GIF fetch/download actions. Google Analytics can use first-party cookies to distinguish visits. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our tag configuration. We also retain minimal download receipts (page, time, and file size) for up to 90 days, without visitor identifiers, IP addresses, or submitted Instagram URLs. A download completion indicates that the browser received the file and initiated saving; it does not confirm a disk save.

01. Information We Collect
When you use InstantGif, we only process the public Instagram URL you voluntarily submit into the search box. We do not require account registration, email addresses, or phone numbers to use the core media extraction features.
02. How Media Extraction Works
InstantGif acts as an automated parser that queries publicly accessible Instagram comments for embedded media assets (GIPHY URLs, CDN images). All resulting image and GIF links originate directly from Meta/GIPHY content delivery networks (CDNs).
03. Security, Captcha & Rate Limits
To prevent abuse, automated bot flooding, and server degradation, we utilize Cloudflare Turnstile bot verification and temporary IP-based rate limiting (such as our 1-minute safety interval). Turnstile operates privately without tracking cross-site user identities.
04. Cookies & Local Storage
We use minimal local browser storage (such as sessionStorage) exclusively to store temporary verification tokens and UI preferences (like dark mode styling). We do not deploy third-party advertising tracking cookies.
